conversation with a simple Diner proprietor;

He was smiling. "If you know enough to ask that, Miss. Taggart, you should know that I won't answer."
"I know this stands for something."
"The Dollar sign? For a great deal. It stands on the vest of every fat pig like figure in every cartoon, for the purpose of denoting a crook, a grafter, a scoundrel - as the one sure fire brand of evil. It stands as the money of a free country - for achievement, for success, for ability, for man's creative power - and, precisely for those reasons, it is used as a brand of infamy. It stands stamped on the forehead of a man like Reardon as a mark of damnation. Incidentally, do you know where that sign comes from? It stands for the initials for the United States."

You dare ask us about money? We understood long ago the need for tokens to represent wealth. Money is still another concept ill understood by mortals because most truly do not understand the true meaning of value for value. Through the ages mortals exchanged their labor and goods for trinkets depicting the Deity of the day. In the beginning those trinkets were solid manifestations of value made from gold, silver and even tulips or salt. It was not long before others began to exchange tokens of less value for that which they held in reserve. A quick read on the history of banking will only give you a taste of the actual evolution of the concentration and expropriation of wealth.

As the earliest traders still among you, we remember the days when barter was the supreme ruling law of economics. When a tribe was encountered and parlayed for trade rather than plunder and loot, we met them with clear conscience and pride in our ability to produce something better than others to trade for that which they excelled in. It does not take a college grad to figure out the disdain for the "money lenders" in the ancient world. They produced little, traded intangible value and created NOTHING.

Money was first used as a means for us to move about without the needless burden of literally carrying our worth on our backs. While mortals began to grow comfortable in their fields, shires, kingdoms and Nations, we continued to seek out those of our kind and lands we had never seen. The Templars were a mere "mortal" extension of the network created by us to have the necessary means to access our wealth whenever, where ever we needed it.

Today, money is the same as it was then. A representation of an individuals worth, a fraction of one's value to those exchanging their own earned trinkets in still another trade for a service, product or commodity not to mention employment. This exchange of value is not new to us, only new to those of you who bother to read of the ages when wealth was NEVER created but begged, borrowed or confiscated. Yes, as immortals and the original traders, we saw it for what it was. An exchange of value for value. Yet, your monarchs, thugs, gentry and looters throughout the ages brutally took this value from you, and one another, while your revered church and early democratic societies guilted you in the relinquishing of your value, your abilities, your self preservation and worth with alms to the poor and wretched, taxes for the public good, and dispensations for the guilt of being exceptional and thus, evil!

Our message is clear to you mortals. We have established a creed, a philosophy of self preservation that is not any less important than the one you too should practice. Our only difference is the time span in which we exist. Ours being infinite has caused us to evolve into creatures of ability with creative talents and a lust for self worth allowing us an existence with reality, in direct proportion of our value to those who still wish to trade for that portion they deem worthy to purchase.

As mortals you have but a few options to the finite existence you call your life. Is it within you to beg, borrow or steal to maintain your existence and establish your worth... If so, continue down the path that led a myriad of civilizations in your past to the disastrous ends they all met.
Choose the path found by those less able to produce on their own, but more than able to seek out those un -willing to test their resolve, their ability their MIND! Succumb to the path of least resistance and pillage the stores, the abilities and yes the very lives of others choosing to establish an identity of purpose, of worth, of humanity! Call out to the social crusaders for salvation from the effort of being productive and worthy of an exchange of value for value.

BEG!

You minions of social justice, pity for the deprived and work towards equality for all, and while you are at it....may you be Damned!

The money printed by those you put into power is worthless and it's only claim of value is to those low bid, no-bid miscreants that make exponentially more than the honored executives, business owners or corporations employing your livelihood, sustaining you and your family with fairly traded products, goods and services none the less providing you health care along with an honest means to establish your own worth, your own wealth, your own happiness!

None of you noticed the change we made to your symbol, did you? Before, the sign of a dollar was a representation of the most powerful and wealthy of all nations we knew. We were pleased to incorporate the initials of the nation that first coined the phrase, "to make money". Eagerly we stepped in and assisted those "men of the mind" to literally re-shape mortal and human existence to what you know now!

We released the ideas of men before you, to take shape in reality rather than grow stagnant in the pages of books, scrolls and texts long buried by those, some of you still worship with idolatrous abandon. Seemingly overnight the ideas and dreams borne in the light of candles and oil lamps took flight in machines, elevated your existence to new heights with towers of glass and steel, produced the crops that fed millions instead of hundreds and built the infrastructures that allowed access to knowledge, places and events never before attained. And, with a cautious reservation we extended the life expectancy of humanity to ages and years closely associated with our own.

What is the change I speak of...Look at that key now on your keyboard centered above that ridiculous word created by said, same keyboard. The 4 key when shifted properly becomes the $.

Gone is that wretched letter representing a word twisted by the social engineers of the past. United has been redefined by your chosen leaders into a guilt ridden belief that it is your ability, your life, your happiness that must be sacrificed to the common good, the universal equality, the United States. We have replaced it with I.

I for individual.
I have a right to my life.
I have a right to my liberty.
I have a right to pursue my worth!

In the name of the best within us....
