Ok I have to confess....first thought your post was a prayer to God initially, though I wanted it to be a sincere message from my daughter to myself....selfish I know, but I did personify with the lyrics and the way I was brought up and tried to emulate when I found myself thurst into parenthood at such a young age.
I believe my love, my daughter, Danni, that my primary role in your's, and your sibling's lives, was to instruct, teach, and lead by example the path a responsible adult must take to be independent in thought, charachter and most importantly one's life.
I tried to teach you integrity, that little known virtue in today's society that can be defined so simplistically.... simply,( do the right thing, even when you think no one is watching)....
I tried to teach you honesty, a virtue so mis-understood by those who justify contradictions with reality, based on subjective reasoning in spite of the fact that rocks do not produce wine, teaching a man to fish is vastly more prudent than producing it with a wish and a wave of a hand and that ANY claim for one's inate evil is a claim based on the irrational thought process of a guilt ridden mystic desperate to appropriate that..... sorry, started to ramble....Honesty, remember who you are!
These are but a few of the values I tried to teach to your sister, your brothers....and you. My Danni, my namesake. The most important virtue I tried to instruct, teach and lead by example was pride!
I tried to teach you pride. Not that baseless feeling so denegrated by those who have already accepted their own innate evil. But the true virtue of one's identity based on a simple premise..."I live by a code that in itself is it's own highest value. I am proud of my charachter and the way I am perceived by others. I have a sense of my own self value, thus I demand one equal in value not only in my mind...but in their own!"
Ok kiddo...off my soapbox! Looking forward to meeting the hunk in your pictures...(remember, NO KISSING! ) causes babies!
